Autobiography of Nick McGirr

I was born May 1st, 1982 in Key West, FL. My family and I moved to several places to follow my father who was in the Navy. When he was offered a job in Cape Canaveral, Florida, we moved to Rockledge, Florida a [then] small bedroom community only twenty-five minutes away. I was five years old at the time and have been living in Brevard County ever since.

My parents began to notice that I had a gift at a early age. My drawings were getting better and better over the years. Often they would find me video taping cartoons to pause them on a good scene and draw what I saw on the television set or drawing a scene from my favorite comic books. I gave up my love for drawing around the eighth grade or so. I moved on to a new form of art...

I first started playing around with computers when I was thirteen years old. The internet was new and I was glued to it. I started designing web sites graphically and writing simple code. Before I knew it, I was hooked.

In my senior year at Rockledge High School, I participated in the DCT program which allowed me to leave school after the second class to work for NSync Data Systems, Inc. in Cape Canaveral, FL. as their lead web developer. I worked there for a year before I recieved a job offer at Advanced International Communications, Inc., a larger computer firm in Malabar, FL. You might say that this all sounds like a lot of responsibility for being only eighteen years old at the time, but working on computers came natural to me because it was always something I was interested in. I stayed with this computer company for nearly four years.

I also worked part time for Remax Aerospace in Rockledge FL. under the tutelage of two seasoned agents. Exposing myself to the real estate business was a great learning experience for me and inspired me to change careers at the age of twenty-two.

I became a licensed real estate agent operating at Remax Aerospace, the same brokerage that I had my first start with. After sucessfull years under this brokerage, I made the switch to Lifestyles-Realtors® and began converting apartment complexes into profitable condominiums.

I live a very active lifestyle by participating in local politics and volunteering for worthy causes. I spend my free time body building and working on this website. Being near the beach allows me the time to enjoy jogging along the Atlantic Ocean and relaxation on the weekends.
